Attractions and Accommodations

The Crestone Music Festival is set in the beautiful high-altitude desert of the San Luis Valley, at the foot of the 14,000-foot peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The festival is close to hot springs, wilderness, mountain biking, camping, and climbing. There’s lots to see and lots to do in this scenic, historic area. For more information, see Attractions. There are also lots of overnight accommodations to choose from—everything from camping to pampering.

Getting There

Getting to CrestFest is easy by car. It is about 45 minutes north of Alamosa or one hour south of Salida. Don’t wait until you are low on gas to fill up your tank. Don’t forget to bring sunglasses and water! The festival itself is at 8,000+ feet.

From Denver

285 South through Villa Grove.
5 miles past Villa Grove, turn left on 17 South toward Alamosa.
14 miles to Moffat (mile marker 105).
In the town of Moffat turn left on County Road T
(look for green sign for Crestone turn-off on the right side of the road).
Take County Road T eight miles to Crestone Music Festival at Challenger Golf Course
(on left side of road).


From Colorado Springs

24 West to 285 South to Villa Grove.
5 miles past Villa Grove, turn left on 17 South toward Alamosa.
14 miles to Moffat (mile marker 105).
In the town of Moffat turn left on County Road T
(look for green sign for Crestone turn-off on the right side of the road).
Take County Road T eight miles to Crestone Music Festival at Challenger Golf Course
(on left side of road).


From New Mexico

25 North from Albuquerque to Santa Fe.
Exit Saint Francis Drive North in Santa Fe.
Stay on 285 North to Alamosa.
In Alamosa, turn right at stop light to 17 North.
Take 17 north (left) 37 miles to Moffat (mile marker 105).
In the town of Moffat turn right on County Road T
(look for green sign for Crestone turn-off on the right side of the road).
Take County Road T eight miles to Crestone Music Festival at Challenger
Golf Course (on left side of road).
